- the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid having a melting point <= 160°C
- Justification for type of information:
- In the Guidance on information requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance, it is stated that if solids have a melting point ≤ 160°C, the self-heating temperature does not need to be determined. The melting point of the test item was determined to be 154.9°C and therefore the relative self-ignition temperature was not determined.
