Fire-fighting measures

Water spray, chemical foam, dry chemical, or carbon dioxide (CO2) may be used for fires in the area. May release sulfur dioxide, sulfur trioxide, and ammonia if involved in a fire. Move the containers from the fire when safe. Extinguish the fire source around. Keep containers cool with water spray. Wear professional coverall protection clothing and breathing equipment (wear Aluminized coat when necessary).

Accidental release measures

Evacuate the danger area until clean up spillage. Wear suitable protective equipment. Provide sufficient ventilation. Remove ignition sources. Sweep up spillage and flush area with large quantities of water to waste water treatment system. May be neutralized with lime or soda ash.
