The test item 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol is not classified as flammable according GLP criteria.

The flammability of 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol was determined following EU Method A.10 (Flammability of solids) and GLP.

The test item was used in its initial form. The test item melted in the burning flame (according to ibacon study 118471180 the melting range is 73.4 °C to 74.5 °C). The test item could not be ignited and no smouldering was observed. The colour of the test item at the end of the measurement was dark red. Therefore, the test item is considered to be not flammable.

The flammability test is classified as acceptable, and satisfies the guideline requirements for the EU method A.10
