Additional information

For Pigments Yellow 12 and 83 of the Diarylide Yellow group long-term toxicity tests on sediment organisms were performed. Coherently with the grouping approach, no effects were observed at the limit concentration of 1000 mg/kg sediment dry weight (neither mortality, nor reproduction or biomass and behaviour) for both group members. Therefore, the NOEC equals the applied nominal concentration of 1000 mg/kg sediment dry weight and the Diarylide Yellow Pigments are judged as chronically nontoxic to sediment organisms.
