Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the extremely low solubilities in water and in octanol a sensible derivation of a log Pow is not possible forDCB-AAA-AAOT.Nevertheless due to its strong similiarity to the other category pigments the log Pow can be assumed to be below 3.Because of log Pow-values well below 3, according to column 2 of Annex VIII and IX of REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006 no testing of absorption-desorption behaviour of the substances of the Diarylide Yellow Pigments is required. An absorption/desorption screening test according to OECD 121 (HPLC estimation method) could not be expected to yield any reasonable information.

Therefore, no conclusion on adsorption/desorption behaviour of the Diarylide Yellow Pigments is possible from experimental data. Based on the low log Pow-values no relevant adsorption to soil or sediment is expected.
