Description of key information

The vapour pressure values reported in the literature are between 4.55 Pa to 34 Pa at 20-25°C.

Seven reliable data are reported for this endpoint. For one of these data (Hoskovec M. et al., 2005), the experimental method and conditions are described. However, the method applied (i.e. calculation of the vapour pressure using a measured retention time in GC method), even if acceptable, is not reported in the testing guidelines. This study concluded on a range of vapour pressure values from 11.5 Pa to 34 Pa at 25°C. The other six data available are from secondary source with no information on the method applied. They provided vapour pressure values closed to the one of the study of Hoskovec M. et al. (2005), with a range from 4.55 to 13 Pa at 20°C and 25°C. The studies reporting higher vapour pressure values but at higher temperatures were selected as supporting study.

 

The vapour pressure of 13 Pa at 20°C from the GESTIS database being the approximate mean value of the reliable vapour pressures available, has been selected as key value for the assessment of the substance.
