Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
Skin irritation was tested using an internal method. The moistened test substance was applied on the clipped skin on the back (2.5 X 2.5 cm) of 2 animals for a duration of 20 hours. The skin was washed with water which sometimes contained a mild detergent. The animals were observed for 8 days and skin changes were scored after 24, 48, 72h, 6 days and 8 days.
