Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
flask method

Water solubility:
187 g/L
Conc. based on:
element
Remarks:
mean of results for Ca and P
Loading of aqueous phase:
250 g/L
Incubation duration:
96 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
1.9
Details on results:
The mean of all three incubation times is 208 g/L with a standard deviation of 18 g/L which is a relative standard deviation of 8.7%. The difference between the 72 h sample and the 96 h sample is (-14) %.
Conclusions:
Due to the fact that the difference of two vessels is (-14) % the criteria of acceptance that at least the two last vessels do not differ by more than 15%, the test is 'satisfactory' was applied. Therefore the determination od the water solubility can be stated as valid. The test item shows a water solubility of 208 g/L at 20°C.
