Additional information

In order to study the toxic effects of the test substance on soil macroorganisms and soil microorganisms two terrestrial toxicity studies were conducted. An earthworm reproduction study according to OECD 222 did not show any effects on the reproduction, mortality and behaviour of Eisenia fetida. The NOEC was determined as 1000 mg/kg dw.

The nitrogen transformation test according to OECD 216 also did not reveal any dose related effects. After 28 days of exposure a statisticaly significant stimulation of the nitrate transformation was determined for the test item concentrations 10 and 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight (Figure1). These stimulations were below 25 % and showed no dose-response relationship. Hence the NOEC was determined s 1000 mg/k dw.
