The surface tension of the test item aqueous solution read on the instrument was 63.2 mN/m at 21 °C ± 0.5 °C using the ring method representing the mean of five separate measurements. The measured values were corrected with Harkins-Jordan correction factor.

The measured surface tension was multiplied by Φb resulting in a corrected surface tension of 64.2 mN/m.

As the surface tension value was higher than 60 mN/m, PTSM is classified as non-surface active.

Conclusions:
The determination of the surface tension was carried out on the test item, with the use of a Krüss K11 Tensiometer by the ring method. The value was found to be 64.2 mN/m
at 21°C ± 0.5°C.
As the surface tension value was higher than 60 mN/m, PTSM is classified as non-surface active.
Executive summary:

The objective of the study was to evaluate the surface tension of PTSM by the ring method.

The method is based on the measurement of the force, which is necessary to exert vertically on a ring, in contact with the surface of the liquid, in order to separate it from the surface.

The determination of the surface tension was carried out on the test item, with the use of a Krüss K11 Tensiometer by the ring method. The value was found to be 64.2 mN/m at 21°C ± 0.5°C.

As the surface tension value was higher than 60 mN/m, PTSM is classified as non-surface active.
