Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

After 48 hours of exposure conditions the EC50 to Daphnia magna was higher than 4.5 mg/L (equivalent to 1.4 mg/L measured). The result is expressed in term of nominal concentration.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

After 72 h no toxic effect towards algae could be seen for Epoxid-Valerat up to the highest concentration and up to water solubility.

Toxicity to microorganisms

A saturated aqueous solution (100 mg/L) of Epoxid-Valerat had no effects on the microbial population in sewage sludge.
