Additional information

Due to the low aquatic toxicity, the PNECaquatic organisms can only be expressed a lower limit (> 9.45 mg/L based on an AF of 10). Due to the low sorption to organic matter an estimation based on the Equilibrium partitioning theory cannot be applied. No PNEC for the sediment compartment was derived because of the low sediment-water partition coefficient. Based on the available terrestrial data, a PNEC of 0.5 mg/kg dw for the soil compartment could be derived. Considering the salty character of GLDA partitioning to air is not considered to be relevant.

Conclusion on classification

GLDA-Na4 showed a low toxicity in short and long-term studies; thus the substance is not classified for its hazards for the environment.
