Justification for type of information:
In the preliminary test the water solubility of the test substance was ≥ 10-2 g/l. Therefore, the flask
method was chosen for the main study.
Main study
Three aliquots between 11639 and 11644 mg of the test substance were weighed into glass vessels.
To each vessel, 25 ml double distilled water was added. The vessels were placed on a magnetic

stirring device in a climate room at 19.9  0.6°C where the content of each vessel was stirred for 24,
48 or 72 hours. As the blank, 25 ml double distilled water was stirred for 72 hours.
After the stirring period, the water phases were centrifuged for 5 minutes at 6500 g and 20°C. In order
to remove undissolved test substance particles floating on the surface, the upper layers were removed
by suction using a water aspirator pump. The aqueous phases were pipetted off and centrifuged a
second and third time (same conditions). Accurately weighed volumes of 50 μl of the aqueous phases
were diluted with 10/90 (v/v) methanol/water in volumetric flasks of 5 ml. The solutions were further
diluted with 10/90 (v/v) methanol/water to obtain concentrations within the calibration range.
