Conclusions:
The algae toxicity of 1,3-difluorobenzene was determined by trend analysis using the QSAR Toolbox and the 96h - EC50 - growth rate was 9.16 mg/L.

Description of key information

Two predictions were performed with QSAR Toolbox, one by read-across (96h EC50: 2.05 mg/L), one by trend analysis (96h EC50: 9.16 mg/L).

Both estimations provide the same conclusion, i.e. 1,3 -difluorobenzene is considered as toxic to algae. As a worst case approach, the lowest predicted EC50 value is considered for the assessment of the substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
2.05 mg/L
