Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No experimental data is available for diammonium hydrogen ethylenediaminetetraacetate (CAS 20824-56-0). Read across to editic acid (CAS 60-00-4) was done instead. The vapour pressure of edetic acid was determined to be 2E-012 hPa at 25°C according to Riedel and Plank.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 hPa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure determined for the acid form of EDTA represents also a worst case (highest) value for its ammonium salts as it is believed that only the free acid can evaporate. In conclusion the value extrapolated for the free acid will also be used for the exposure calculations of the ammonium salts in the chemical safety report, reflecting a worst case assumption.
