Additional information

No exposure to the terrestrial compartment, including soil, is intended during the life cycle of the test substance. Indirect exposure to the environment is unlikely, which is also indicated by the manufacturing process. Furthermore, the test substance shows a low potential for soil adsorption (Koc: 10 L/kg, KOCWIN estimate, Chemservice GmbH, 2011) and bioaccumulation (BCF: 3.16 L/kg, BCFBAF estimate, Chemservice S.A., 2011). Hence, a relevant distribution into soil and a considerable exposure of the biota is not expected, concluding that no experimental results on any soil organism have to be provided. This procedure is in accordance to REACH, Annex IX, Section 9.4, column 2. The Predicted No Effect Concentration (PNEC) for soil was derived from the PNEC for freshwater using the equilibrium partitioning method.
