Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In an OECD 221 performed with a structural analogue substances, the results were as follows:

The average specific growth rate (frond number) EC50 was > 100 mg/L.
The average specific growth rate (dry weight) EC50 was > 100 mg/L.
The yield (frond number) EC50 was > 100 mg/L.
The yield (dry weight) EC50 was > 100 mg/L.
The NOErC was 100 mg/L.

Additional information

An GLP compliant OECD guideline 221 study was performed to determine the effects of the structural analogue material. The exponentially growing culture of Lemna gibba (Duckweed) with an observation period of ‘7’ days. The effect of read-across test item on the growth of the Lemna gibba culture compared with control was determined and the concentration that inhibited growth rate by 50 % (ErC50) and the concentration that inhibited yield by 50% (EyC50) each of which in turn based upon frond number and frond dry weight were calculated.

The effect of the read-across test item on the growth of Lemna minor has been investigated over a 7-Day period and the following results were observed:

The average specific growth rate (frond number) EC50 was >100 mg/L.

The average specific growth rate (dry weight) EC50 was >100 mg/L.

The yield (frond number) EC50 was >100 mg/L.

The yield (dry weight) EC50 was >100 mg/L.

The NOEC was 100 mg/L.
