No toxicity tests were available for terrestrial arthropods exposed to tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether highers (TPnB-H).
Based upon a read across to Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether (TPnB), Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether highers is readily biodegradable and has a low potential to bioaccumulate with a Log Kow <3. Also, based on physical and chemical property parameters of TPnB-H, it can be concluded that the ultimate compartment is the aquatic compartment. Therefore, direct and indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely and a waiver is proposed for terrestrial arthropod toxicity testing.
