Description of key information
In a flow-through bioconcentration key study (Eco-Science Corporation, ES2011-A01C, 2011) according to Guidelines for Registration of Agricultural Chemicals, 2-9-17 - Fish Bioconcentration (Japan , 2000) C. carpio were exposed to the test substance at nominal concentrations of 0.018 and 0.18 mg/L for an uptake period of 28 days. The BCF50 of the test substance was determined to be 0.059. Thus, the substance has no potential for bioaccumulation.

A 28-day bioconcentration test (Eco-Science Corporation, ES2011-A01C, 2011) according to Guidelines for Registration of Agricultural Chemicals, 2-9-17 - Fish Bioconcentration (Japan , 2000) was conducted under flow-through conditions with the test substance at nominal test concentrations of 0.18 and 0.018 mg/L. 60 carps (Cyprinus carpio) were tested per concentration and control. The test consisted of a 28 day uptake phase. Water quality parameters (pH, oxygen concentration and temperature) were in accordance with the test guideline. No mortality or signs of toxicity were observed during the study. Bioconcentration factors calculated at each measurement time point ranged from < 0.43 to 0.74 in the 0.018 mg/L group and from 0.050 to 0.34 in the 0.18 mg/L group. The Bioconcentration factor at steady state (BCFss) during day 11 to 21 of the uptake period was 0.059 in the 0.18 mg/L group. In the 0.018 mg/L group, steady state was not observed. The BCF50 of the test substance was determined to be 0.059.
