The direct photolysis of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene in approximately saturated aqueous solution was studied using direct exposure to sunlight and HPLC analysis with UV detection. 82.9 % degradation in 43.7 hours was observed corresponding to a half-life of approx. 17 hours.
