Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Aquatic acute tests were performed on daphnia, algae and microorganisms (OECD 202, 201 and 209 respectively).

For the test performed on daphnia magna, the results obtained on the toxicological endpoint "immobilisation" gives an EC50 -48hours superior to the highest tested concentration , i.e 100mg/L.(nominal concentartion, semi-static conditions, WAF method)

For the test performed on the freshwater unicellular green algae Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata:

Results obtained show a slight toxicity of the test item with an inhibition of the average specific growth rate in comparison to the control <50% at the highest concentration of 100mg/L (nominal concentration, WAF method). For that reason, ErC50 (0 -72h) is superior to this highest tested concentration.

A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of the test item to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The method followed was designed to be compatible with the OECD Guidelines for testing of Chemicals (1992) N° 203, "Fish, Acute Toxicity test" referenced as Method C.1 of Commission Regulation (EC) N° 440/2008.

This study gave a 96-hour LL50 value of 24 mg/L loading rate WAF with 95% confidence limits of 18-32 mg/L loading rate WAF. The Lowest Observed Effect Loading rate was 32 mg/L loading rate WAF. The no Observed Effect Loading rate was 18 mg/L loading rate.

A study was performed to assess the effect of the test material on the respiration of activated sewage sludge. The method followed the OECD guideline n° 209 "Activated sludge, respiration inhibition test".

The effect of the test material on the respiration of activated sewage sludge gave 3 -hour EC50 of greater than 1000mg/L.

The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) after 3 hours of exposure was 1000mg/L.
