Additional information

One key study and three supporting studies were identified for the acute toxicity of ethylene glycol hexyl ether (EGHE) to aquatic invertebrates. A key study that evalauted the acute toxicity of EGHE to the cladoceran Daphnia magna (Klimisch score of 2) reported a 48 hour EC50 of 145 mg/L, which was also reported by a supporting study. Two additional studies (Klimisch scores of 2) conducted in accordance with EPA/ASTM guidelined with Daphnia magna reported 48 hour LC50 values of 305 mg/L.
