Additional information

SRPL (Set Retard Plus Sodium Salt) is a powder with a characteristic odour marketed as liquid, therefore no test on particle size distribution was conducted.

No melting or boiling point were observed up to 500 °C (glass transition at 121°C followed by decomposition starting from 300 °C). The substance is expected to be very soluble in water and this charcateristic is also determining a negative partition coefficient octanol-water.

The relative density of the Parent Substance resulted to be 0.75 at 20 °C, determined using pycnometer method, therefore the same order of density is expected also for the substance in itself.

Vapour pressure of SRPL can be considered as negligible (1.75 mPa at 20 °C).

The self ignition temperature of the substance is expected to be in the same range of the one of Set Retar Plus (367 °C); SRPL is expected to be not flammable/explosive/oxidising.
