Description of key information

(+)-Citronellal was choosen as the Lead Constituent to conduct the CSA, because it is identified as the driver of the ecotoxicity. Moreover, the fate and behaviour of (+)-Citronellal also represent very well the whole UVCB. Firstly because this constituent concentration is 76% w/w, and secondly because its environmental exposure relevant properties are the same as the majority of other constituents:

(+)-Citronellal is ready biodegradable, and so represents well the whole UVCB Eucalyptus citriodora extract, which constituents are all readily biodegradable; except Linallool and Ocimene, but these constituents are below 1% w/w in the composition.

(+)-Citronellal Koc is estimted by the MCI method (EpiSuite 4.0) 48.65 l/kg, and so represents well the whole UVCB Eucalyptus citriodora extract, as about 90% of the constituents have a Koc below 100.
