Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Moisture (wt %):
1.854
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary screening test

The pile ignited with a small orange flame which self-extinguished 5 seconds after the Bunsen flame was removed without propagation. The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it did not propagate combustion over the 200 mm of the preliminary screening test.
Executive summary:

The flammability (solids) was determined by measuring the burning rate of test material prepared as a pile of set dimensions. Test was conducted using Method A10 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC.

The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it did not propagate combustion over the 200 mm of the preliminary screening test.
