Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

A 96 h LC50 value of 5.3 mg/L was obtained with 95 % confidence limits of 4.6 - 6.1 mg/L.

Long-term toxicity to fish

According to Annex XI, paragraph 1.3 results obtained from valid QSAR models may be used instead of testing. A QSAR calculation is available for this endpoint showing that the substance is not chronic toxic to fish.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

Immobilisation of the daphnia was observed at nominal concentrations of 8 mg/L and greater. The 48 h EC50 was 8.3 mg/L.

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

According to Annex XI, paragraph 1.3 results obtained from valid QSAR models may be used instead of testing. A QSAR calculation is available for this endpoint showing that the substance is not chronic toxic to daphnids.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

The 72 h ErC50 was determined to be 28 mg/L (95 % CL 25 to 32 mg/L); the NOEC and LOEC values based on the growth rate were determined to be 6.25 and 12.5 mg/L, respectively.

Toxicity to microorganisms

3-hour EC50 value of 100 to 1000 mg/L. The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) after 3 hours of exposure was 100 mg/L.
