Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Classification related key information

- Biodegradation: readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria (76% after 28 d, OECD 310)

- Bioaccumulation potential: log Pow 3.46 (EU Method A.8)

- Aquatic acute toxicity:

Aquatic invertebrates: EC50 (48 h) Daphnia magna = 13.7 mg/L (geometric mean measured, OECD 202)

Algae: ErC50 (72 h) Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata = 8.28 mg/L (geometric mean measured, OECD 201)

- Aquatic chronic toxicity:

Algae: ErC10 (72 h) Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata = 5.96 mg/L (geometric mean measured, OECD 201)

Classification justification according to CLP

Based on the data above, the substance is considered to be rapidly degradable in the environment and has a low potential for bioaccumulation. Aquatic toxicity studies are available for aquatic invertebrates (EC50 (48 h) = 13.7 mg/L) and aquatic microalgae (ErC50 (72 h): 8.28 mg/L; ErC10 (72 h): 5.96 mg/L). Therefore, the substance does not have to be classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) (18th ATP).
