Ecotoxicological data for brazing fluxes are only available for acute toxicity to fish and for toxicity to microorganisms. A GLP-conform study (Klimisch 2) according to the OECD 203 guideline for the effect of this UVCB on mortality of Brachydanio rerio resulted in a 96 -h LC50 of 750 mg/L.

Another GLP conform study on the effect of this UVCB on growth of the bacterium Pseudomonas putida resulted in EC10 values of 1050 and 190 mg/L for neutralised and acidic test solutions, respectively.

An assessment entity approach with data for borates as the critical transformation product for envionmental effects is selected in order to fill the remaining datagaps for aquatic toxicity.
