Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non explosive
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The test item had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation
(EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for explosive properties according the EU method A.14.

Two DSC-measurements in closed glass crucibles with the test item showed an exothermal effect in the temperature range of

190 – 350 °C with enthalpies of -868 J/g and -839 J/g, respectively. The measurements were terminated at 400 °C.

Mechanical sensitivity (friction):

The dried test item was sieved (mesh size 0.5 mm) before the measurement. No explosion occurred within 6 tests using a pinload of 360 N.

Mechanical sensitivity (shock):

The dried test item was sieved (mesh size 0.5 mm) before the measurement. No explosion within 6 tests using a mass of 10 kg falling from a height of 0.4 m was observed, only a decomposition was detected (odour).

Thermal sensitivity: Three tests with dried test item were performed with a circular nozzle plate with a hole of 2 mm diameter. No explosion was observed.
