Additional information

The substance is not readily biodegradable. However, since the substance has no cationic properties and based on the PC properties of the substance (extremely low solubility in water and octanol), a low adsorption potential is indicated. Therefore, binding to sewage sludge is unlikely and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected.

In a guideline study according OECD 207 on Eisenia foetida a NOEC >= 1000 mg/kg soil was determined. For the acute toxicity study the Phthalocyanine CAS 1328-53-6 was mixed with artificial soil. Earthworms were kept on the soil/substance mixture for 14 days. The results proofed that Phthalocyanines are not toxic to soil macroorganisms (arthropods not included).
