Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Experimental data on the acute toxicity of the test substance to aquatic invertebrates are not available. Therefore, the experimental data from the two structurally similar substances CAS 1328-53-6 and CAS 147-14-8 were used for the assessment. Two studies were performed with the CAS 1328-53-6. The study conducted according to EPA-660/3-75-009 reviled for the source substance the 48-h EC50of 154 mg/L (nominal, Clariant GmbH, 2007). The second study was conducted according to EU Method C2 and the 48-h EC50was determined to be > 500 mg/L (nominal, Sun Chem Corp, 1978). In addition, ecotoxicological study for the source substance CAS 147-14-8 is also available. The study was performed according to OECD TG 2020. The 48-h EC50 in this study was determined to be > 500 mg/L (nominal, BASF AG, 1989). In all studies Daphnia magna was used as a test organism and no analytical measurements were performed.

Based on the available read-across data for the structurally similar substances CAS 1328-53-6 and CAS 147-14-8, it can be concluded that the substane is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
