Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Granulometry has not been investigated because the test item has been demonstrated to have a melting point in the range 26 °C to 42 °C. This means that particle size influencing toxicological profile is irrelevant because the substance is on the border between the solid and liquid state at ambient temperature. Furthermore, the determined vapour pressure of 0.323 Pa at 25 °C indicates that exposure of humans to the test item via the inhalation route is of negligible concern.

Additional information

In line with REACH Annex XI, a granulometry determination has been omitted because it is technically not possible to conduct the study as a consequence of the properties of the substance. This decision is in line with OECD guideline 110 where melting point is noted as guidance information because that physical property must be known in order to confirm the solid nature of any substance being considered for testing.
