Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The reported 48 -h EC50 of the test substance on Daphnia magna was 70.7 mg/L. The EC50 was determined using non-neutralised samples. Neutralisation abolished the toxic effects and the EC50 was > 100 mg/L. Therefore, n-propylamine is considered to be not harmful to aquatic invertebrates (pH-effect).
