Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of the test item toDaphnia magna. The method followed was designed to be compatible with the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals (April 2004) No 202, "Daphniasp., Acute Immobilisation Test" referenced as Method C.2 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008.

 Results

Chemical analysis of the test preparations at 0 hours showed measured test concentrations to range from 1.40 to 51.1 mg/L. There was no significant change in the measured concentrations at 48 hours other than the exception noted below.

The 56% v/v saturated solution measured concentrations declined by 74% between 0 and48 hours. However, as there was 100% immobilization observed in lower concentrations, the 56% v/v saturated solution was not considered critical to the effect of test item exposure observed in the test and the statistical analysis. Therefore, the results are based on 0-Hour measured test concentrations only.

Exposure ofDaphnia magnato the test item gave the following results based on the 0-Hour measured test concentrations:
