2 daphnids (10%) were immobilized between 24 and 48 hours. The test concentration was determined by TOC analysis with 6.2 mg/L. Thus the EC50/48 h was higher than a saturated solution of hydrocortison acetate with 6.2 mg/L.

Since acc. to guideline 10% immobilisation is accepted in control groups the immobilisation observed is considered to be spontanous rather than substance-related.
Executive summary:

The aquatic toxicity of the test compound was studied in an acute immobilization test with Daphnia magna (limit test). The daphnids were exposed to a saturated solution of the test compound for 48 hours. 2 daphnids (10%) were immobilized between 24 and 48 hours. This was assumed to be spontaneous, since up to 10% immobilized daphnids are accepted for the control group.The test concentration was determined by TOC analysis with 6.2 mg/L. Thus the EC50/48 h was higher than a saturated solution of hydrocortison acetate with 6.2 mg/L.
