Endpoint:
appearance / physical state / colour
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
weight of evidence
Study period:
February 25, 2015
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range); EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range); EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) method was used for the evaluation of melting and boiling points of the test substance. Test was performed according to the SOP - SRT 028 protocol.
GLP compliance:
no
Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
solid
Conclusions:
The test substance is a solid at 20°C and 1013 hPa.
Executive summary:

Method:

Differential Scanning  Calorimetry (DSC) according to the OECD Test Guidelines 102 and 103.

Results:

Between 30 and 140°C, there is release of water/ solvent, followed by a degradation between 213 and 373°C, (onset at 244.1°C, enthalpy = 178.3 J/g).

Conclusion:

The test item is a solid at 1013 hPa and 20°C.
