Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the REACH Regulation (EC) n. 1907/2006 Annex VII, Column 2, the test does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example on the basis of the chemical structure. The substance does not contain any chemical groups associated with explosive properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the definition set out in the CLP Regulation (EC) n. 1272/2008 oxidising solid means a solid substance or mixture which, while in it is not necessarily combustible, may, generally by yielding oxygen, cause, or contribute to, the combustion of other material. A specific study has not been conducted on the substance but based on the chemical structure the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, therefore no classification as oxidising is warranted.
