Any other information on results incl. tables

Ignition by glowing platin wire: localized combustion without spreading.

Ignition by flame for a prolonged period: slow decomposition without flame

Combustion Class Number (BZ = Brennzahl) 4 was assigned: glowing without sparks (smouldering) or slow decomposition without flame (definition according to Directive VDI 2263, Part 1)

Determination of burning rate: the sample could not be ignited during 2 min impact time. After a prolonged impact time of 10 min decomposition without flame started. For a distance of 100 mm 18 min were required.

Therefore no further tests were required.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The burning rate of the test substance considerably exceeded 45 s/100 mm. Therefore, the substance has not to be classified as highly flammable solid according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
