Description of key information

The substance will be rapidly evaporate from the water surface into the atmosphere.

If the substance is exposed to water, it will evaporate into the atmosphere from the water surface because of its Henry's Law Constant of 315 Pa m³/mol (25 °C) (experimental value from Shiu & MacKay, 1997). Additionally, a Henrys Law Constant of 404 Pa m³/mol (25 °C) is calculated with SRC HENRYWIN v3.10 and the BUA report showes a Henry Law constant of 361 Pa m³/mol. Chlorobenzene is thus regarded as readily volatile from aqueous solutions. Its evaporation from the hydrosphere into the atmosphere is a significant environmental transport mechanism.
