Conclusion on classification

There was no acute toxicity results recorded at levels up to the limit of water solubility. Additionally the acute aquatic toxicity data conclusions were all > 1mg/L, therefore did not meet the classification criteria according to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 on the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures. The Substance does not need to be classified for acute aquatic toxicity.

Based on the data, using the criteria set out in CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 Part 4: Environmental Hazards (as amended) and based on precautionary principles, the substance will be classified Aquatic Chronic Category 4 with the hazard statement, H413: May cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life. This classification is based on concerns regarding the material is considered to be poorly soluble, no acute fish toxicity data is available, it is not rapidly degradable and in the absence of data, has high potential for bioaccumulation (Log Kow>4).
