Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
calculation (if not (Q)SAR)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
25.Sept.2008-24.Oct.2008
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
accepted calculation method
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Objective of the test:
The objective of the test was to determine the vapour pressure of LCE07102 by calculation.
Principle:
The test item is a mixture of substances showing presumably low vapour pressure properties. Using defined technics (e.g. effusion method, gas saturation method) would certainly conduct to flimsy results. The vapour pressure can then be obtained by calculation. The obtained value is a trend of the value of the vapour pressure.
Calculation procedure:
In the absence of an internationally recognised calculation method for the calculation of the vapour pressure, the work was conducted according to our standard operating procedure. The vapour pressure value determination of LCE07102 was calculated using EPI Suite EPIWINNT software.
Deviations:
No incident, which could have affected the quality of the interpretation of the results obtained, was observed.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)

The calculated value of the vapour pressure of the substances contained in LCE07102 is given in the following table:

Substances contained in LCE07102  Value of P(25°C)
 Lauryl glycine

4.43E-6 Pa

 Lauryl alanine 3.28E-6 Pa
 Lauryl aspartate 9.61E-9 Pa
 Lauryl glutamate 4.19E-9 Pa
 Sarcosine

3.79E-5 Pa

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of LCE07102 is defined as the highest value of the P(25°C) of the substances present in the test item.
The vapour pressure at 25°C of LCE07102 is equal to 3.79E-5 Pa.
Executive summary:

The objective of the test was to determine the vapour pressure of LCE07102 by calculation.

Using EPI Suite EPIWINNT software, the following results are obtained:

Substances contained in LCE07102  Value of P(25°C)
