Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The immobility of the daphnids was determined using a validated QSAR for the Mode of Action in question, (MOA 1, non-polar narcosis). The predicted 48-hour EC50 value is 24.18 mg/L (95% confidence limits of 22.11 - 26.45 mg/L).

Additional information

The predicted daphnia 48h EC50 value is reliable since the test substance falls within the applicability domain of the model. The water solubility value (used as input into the model) of the test substance is within the descriptor domain of the model, which is between log water solubility (in log (mol/L)) of -4.70 to 0.87. Moreover the iSafeRat® prediction of Dimetol for acute toxicity to fish is extremely close to the experimentally measured value providing strong supporting evidence that Dimetol is a MOA 1 substance as expected from its chemical structure. Therefore, this daphnia endpoint value can be considered valid for use in risk assessment and classification and labelling.
