Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Based on the information reported in the expert assessment, the test substance does not show a potential for autoflammability or for self-reaction. Furthermore, this substance is produced and used at the highest level in Europe, transported in ship from outside Europe at various temperature and stoking conditions. Evidences connected to the long experience in handling of the substance confirm that no explosive properties have never been observed and reported up to now in the usual conditions of production, stock, transport and use. In conclusion substance can be considered non autoflammable, according to the CLP Regulation (EC) n. 1272/2008.

Moreover,

Auto-ignition potential of Acid Blue 007 was excluded by an expert judgement based on available information and experience in handling and use. In addition, a supporting evidence to the lack of autoignition potential was derived from an experimental study on a structural analogue of Acid Blue 007, differing only for the position and number (3 vs 2) of sulfonate groups on the triphenylmethane scaffold.
