Additional information

No information concerning effects to terrestrial arthropods is available for glutaraldehyde. Nevertheless, the substance shows a low bioaccumulative (log Pow = -0.18) potential. Furthermore, glutaraldehyde shows a low to moderate potential of adsorption to solid particles. Moreover, glutaraldehyde showed a rapid degradation in soils by microbial biotransformation. Therefore, a persistence of glutaraldehyde in soil is unlikely. Hence, a relevant distribution into soil and a considerable exposure of terrestrial arthropods is not expected.
