Description of key information

Wolt JD, Shepler K, Marx M, McGovern P & Ruzo LO (1991): The extrapolated Flumetsulam half-life of light exposed and dark control samples is 87 days (R=0.97) and 321 days (R=0.56), respectively.
Wolt J, Shepler K, Yung V (1991): Degradation was found to occur in irradiated samples (t1/2 = 80 days, R2= 0.51) and in dark controls (t1/2 = 127 days, R2= 0.57.
Wolt JD, Shepler K, Chari S, McGovern P & Ruzo LO (1991): Degradation was found to occur in irradiated samples (t1/2=90 days, R=0.97) and in dark controls (t1/2 = 115 days, R=0.98).

As all of the studies were of equal reliability with very similar results, a weight of evidence approach was used. A mean average half-life for soil photolysis from the three studies has been used to address this endpoint:

Mean t1/2 = (80 + 87 + 90) / 3 = 85.67 days
