A strong exothermic effect of the test item was observed. The temperature of the test item reached 400°C at an oven temperature of 390°C. It demonstrated that the self-ignition temperature of the test item is 390°C.

After the experiment, the test item had turned into a black/brown residue and was partially collected in a container that was placed below the cube. It indicated that the test item had expanded, decomposed and/or reacted during the experiment.

At temperatures below 390°C the sample temperature followed the oven temperature. No self-ignition was observed up to the melting point (298.2°C).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

In the EC A.16 test performed, the self-ignition temperature of JNJ-150098-AAC (T001310) was determined to be 390°C. At lower oven temperatures, the sample temperature followed the oven temperature. Up to the melting point (298.2°C) no self-ignition was observed.
