Description of key information

Log Pow=  >5.7 at 25°C (measured)

Further the estimated values of the individual constituent are as follows:

Log Pow (oxime C12)= 7.3

Log Pow (oxime C11)= 6.6

Log Pow (oxime C10)= 6.1

Log Pow (oxime C9)= 5.8

Log Pow (oxime C13)= 7.5

Log Pow (phenol C10)= 6.3

Log Pow (oxime C14)= 8.0

Log Pow (oxime C15)= 8.4

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination was carried out by HPLC method. Triphenylamine exhibits the second highest log Pow value listed in the EU test procedure (5.7). DDT exhibits the highest log Pow value (6.2), but was not used due to toxicological reasons.

In additon the log Pow values of the individual constituent have been generated using KOWWIN (v1.68) module of software EPI Suite v.4.11.

The substance is a mixture of C9 to C15 chains with C12 chains predominating. The results above represent downwards regarding the composition with decreasing concentration (%).
