Additional information

Acute tests on two trophic levels were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of 4,4´-methylendi-o-toluidine. Algae turned out to be the most sensitive species revealing an ErC50 (72h) of 6.104 mg/L. Effects of 4,4´-methylendi-o-toluidine towards fish were measured providing a LC50 (96h) of 464 -1000 mg/L. Thus, 4,4´-methylendi-o-toluidine is considered acutely toxic for aquatic organisms.
