Experimental results on the acute toxicity of Reaction mass of 1,1'-(isopropylidene)bis[3,5-dibromo-4-(2,3-dibromo-2-methylpropoxy)benzene] and 1,3-dibromo-2-(2,3-dibromo-2-methylpropoxy)-5-{2-[3,5-dibromo-4-(2,3,3-tribromo-2-methylpropoxy)phenyl]propan-2-yl}benzene to fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae are available. All studies were conducted according to OECD criteria and GLP. In all aquatic toxicity studies the test item solution was prepared as a saturated solution (with stirring and subsequent filtration) since the substance is poorly soluble in water. An analytical monitoring of the test substance via UPLC measurements, always accompanied the experiments. The test substance was difficult to measure and always lay under the detection limit of the method (89.6 ng/L). The experimental results showed that no short or long term toxicity effects are expected for aquatic organisms.
