Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the information and review of the substance, it is seemed not to be potentially oxidizing, based on the chemical structure, the oxygen balance value and the known experience in the handling and use of the substance.

According to the CLP Regulation (EC1272/2008), section, for organic substances or mixtures the classification procedure for the oxidizing solid class shall not apply if the substance or mixture contains oxygen, fluorine or chlorine and these elements are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen atoms. The substance meets the screening criteria reported in the CLP Regulation, which are in principle the same as the wording in Section 6 of Appendix 6 to the UN-MTC, because it contains contains oxygen chemically bonded only to carbon, therefore the classification procedure was not applied.
